No Drumming or Stretch Class

Our drumming class on Wednesdays and stretching on Fridays will not meet during February and March.

Have a Ball Aerobics     1 - 2
Provides an aerobic  work-out designed for each individual to work at your own pace.  Each class includes balance and core work on stability balls provided by the Center. 
Instructor: Alice Andrews.
                          Mon. and Wed. 9:00 am  $1.00/class


Dance Aerobics 1 - 2

Provides a moderate to vigorous cardiovascular dance workout with tunes from the 50's, 60's and 70's.  Each class includes balance and strength training.  Instructor Alice Andrews
                          Tues. and Thurs. 8:45 am  $1.00/class

Beginning Jazz Dance
The class fee is $10.00. Learn the basics of Jazz Dance.  Brooke our student assistant will be teaching this class. Please wear loose and comfortable clothes. Sign-up in the office.

                           Wed. at 11:00 a.m. November 9, 16, 30 and December 7.

Drumming     1 - 3
Come drum on our stability balls, stretch and relax.                         $1.00 per class.  Instructor:  Kathie Newbold.

Fitness Room    1 - 4
Available for those who like to work on their own.  The room includes a treadmill, NU-STEP, exercise bikes and 12-station gym.  An appointment can be made to have an orientation on all of the equipment.
              $2.00 per day or $100.00 for an annual pass.
                    Daily 8:00 am - 4:00 pm  Monday thru Friday

Get Fit Now
This class will include warm-up, aerobics, strength, balance and cool-down. It is designed for folks who have some physical limitations from chronic disease and those just wanting to become more active. If you are not quite ready for a full aerobics class this could be the place to start. This class may be done in chairs or in a standing position.  It is highly recommended that you get permission from your physician to begin any fitness activity. Kathy Bradbury is a certified fitness instructor.  The cost is $3.00 per class.

Jodi's Sit and Fit     2 - 4
Taught by P.T. Jodi from Advanced Physical Therapy.  This class is done in chairs and is great for those with mobility limitations and for our most fit individuals. You choose the hand weights that fit your fitness levels.
                          Tues. 9:30 am   FREE

Jouni's Angles    2 - 4
Taught by P.T. Jouni K. Mantyla, P.T. from Michigan Rehabilitation Specialists.  This class is done primarily in  chairs and includes strength training with hand weights and exercise bands.

Easy Line Dance
Drop in to line dance.  This class is easy enough for beginners.  No partners needed.  Cost is $5.00.
                         Mondays at 10:00 am


Sit, Move and Stay Fit        1 - 2
Action Home Health Care will be sponsoring an excellent all-around workout for seniors.
The class lasts about 50 minutes and includes a fun warm up, followed by upper and lower body strengthening, as well as balance exercises. These exercises are done using a chair, either sitting in it or standing behind it. The class winds down with relaxing stretches to give an all-over good feeling. There is no doubt you will appreciate the benefits that this class offers!
This class is appropriate for those who are just beginning an exercise program and those who are mobility challenged.

Tap Dance
A beginning tap dance will start on Friday, January 13 at 9:45 am  New dancers are welcome at this time.  If you are interested please call Toni Grimm at 517-548-5634.
The experienced tappers will have classes on Wednesdays at 11:00 am and 12:00 pm beginning January 11.

Walk-Fit     1 - 2
Includes one hour of vigorous walking including weight training with hand weights.  Instructor:  Kathie Newbold. 
                          Tues. and Fri. 8:00 am  $1.00

Walk the Halls of our building.   2 - 4
There is no charge to walk the halls or to walk on our outdoor track.  If you walk inside please sign-in at the Center and pick up a pass.               FREE

Gentle Yoga     1, 2 & 3
Gentle Yoga class will meet  on 5 Thursdays beginning on February 23 at 11:30 a.m. The cost is $35.00 for senior center members and $45.00 for non-members. (You may join the current session at $7.00 per class.) A new yoga teacher Robyn will be  teaching this class.

Zumba with Terry  1 & 2
We must have a minimum of 7 students registered for all  5 classes, which is $35.00 for members and $45.00 for non-members. You must be 50 years of age and older to take this class. The class will be cancelled if we do not have the minimum by Wednesday, February 8.
